Here's a fantastic and easy weeknight dinner that even my incredibly picky children and equally picky husband will tear through. Get out your slow cooker, mix these up and then forget about it all until dinner time.

4 hungry family members


Finely chopped cilantro (I actually leave this out as I really can't stand cilantro...)
¼ Cup
1 Teaspoon
Hoisin sauce
¼ Cup
Large egg
1 Count
Low-sodium soy sauce
3 Tablespoons
Organic ground turkey
1 Pound
Panko bread crumbs (I used Ian's gluten free)
½ Cup
Plum sauce
¼ Cup
Rice or rice noodles
0 Count
Rice vinegar
1 Tablespoon
Scallions, white & light green parts, chopped

Combine turkey, panko, cilantro (if using), ginger, scallions, egg and 1 TBSP. soy sauce. Mix gently with your hands (do not overtax), then form into 16 - 24 balls. Place in the bottom of a slow cooker.

In a small bowl combine the remaining 2 TBSP. soy sayce, hoisin sauce, plum sauce and rice vinegar. Pour over the meatballs.


Cover and cook on low unitl meatlballs are cooked through, 2:30 - 3:00 hours. Serve over rice or with noodles if desired.

Just before serving prepare rice or rice noodles according to package directions. I usually make up a little extra of the sauce to toss the noodles in.

Place meatballs on top of rice or noodles and serve with a mixed greens salad topped with mandarin organes, slivered almonds and sesame ginger dressing.
